Education Issues in Indonesia

Education Issues in Indonesia

Education in Indonesia underwent several changes that could be seen to be very significant, starting from the curriculum, system, and way of learning, now many changes and renewals have begun. The first is the change from KTSP curriculum to K13 then there is also a revised K13 that has a different content from K13, then the system of education itself is being intensively discussed which is the application of the zoning system which hurts many students who excel and meet the qualifications to enter their dream school. , likened to a year-long effort thwarted by a system, then subsequently the abolition of the National Examination (UN) by the new minister of education. He believes that removing the UN will make the educational qualifications in our country more tangible and fairer for all students because their fate is not determined by just one exam but their years of process will save them to advance in the future. Some of the ones applied have their own benefits, but the community considers that the government only harms students who excel in academics and non-academic fields because they eliminate the dreams they have been trying for years, but the zoning system also makes equal distribution of educational quality in various regions so competition in each school become equivalent and the term favorite school will slowly begin to fade because all schools are flat in quality and quantity.
